We are not just a company making profits from pipes. We are a company carrying water to people. And we will continue to be relevant as long as
someone is dying somewhere because there was not enough
water to drink especially in tropical and developing countries.
In India, every year 111 people out of every thousand people die due to water scarcity.
(UN Report 1996) |
And we will continue to be relevant as long as
the doctors say never drink water directly out of the tap. Especially in countries with poor investments in public sanitation and hygiene. Thats because even though water is adequately treated in complex filtration systems, it picks up pollutants along the way. By the time it reaches the point at which it must be consumed, it is dangerously contaminated
And we will continue to be relevant as long as there is a distance between where water is collected and where it is consumed. |

At 500 litres per capita, the largest consumer of water in the world is a city, which does not receive more than 32-42mm of rain a year, Abu Dhabi. The capital of the United Arab Emirates is an inspiring testimony of how man can change the ecology of his environment through foresight. |

WHAT DOES QUALITY MEAN TO US? |
| |
|
Because Quality is not just a slogan for us...At Electrosteel ,the passionate incorporation of Total Productive Maintenance into most of companys everyday functions on the shop floor has translated into big improvement.
The companys grip on technology has only strengthened over the years. Quality has consistently improved, rejections have declined and installed capacity has increased three-fold in eight years. As a result, Electrosteel , now is one among the four major Ductile Iron pipe manufacturers outside the US. |

WHY WE ARE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT GROWTH AT ELECTROSTEEL? |
Because there is huge market
Water worth 36,000 Cr is wasted in leaks while in transmission. Electrosteels ductile iron pipes possess all the superior metallurgical properties to ensure that not a drop is wasted until it reaches the consumers.
1 crore (cr.) = Rs.100,00,000
*Assumption: Rs.45 = $1
