Mr. Amrendra Prasad Verma has decades of experience in the banking sector. He joined the Banking sector in the year 1975. During his career with State Bank of India (SBI), he held various Senior Executive positions including Business Head of the Corporate Banking Group, General Manager-International Banking Division, and Chief Credit & Risk Officer. During the year 2005-2009, Mr. Verma was deputed to SBI Capital Markets Limited (the Investment banking outfit of SBI) as Managing Director & CEO. He also held the position of Deputy Managing Director & Group Executive of Mid Corporate Group of SBI during 2009-10. Mr. Amrendra Prasad Verma retired as the Deputy Managing Director and Chief Credit & Risk Officer of the bank in December 2011, where he was in overall charge of the bank's risk management function. Thereafter he was an advisor with the SBI till June 2012.
