External Protection System - PE Tape Wrapping

A PE tape with approved adhesive is applied on the Ductile Iron Pipe over a bitumen based primer, with 25 mm overlap on itself or 55% overlap.

• The PE Tape with adhesive is mechanically applied over the Pipe surface.
• PE Tape wrapping offers a thick, inert, holiday-free barrier between the soil and the Pipe.
• There is no risk of soil and moisture entrapment between the Tape and the Pipe surface.
• For PE Tape wrapping at joints, special care is taken to cover the joint after the jointing is done.
